About the team
This role will lead the Business Risk Management solution line, which sits within the Credit Strategy organization at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. The Credit Strategy organization focuses on four key markets – Business Risk, Credit Decisioning, Data Driven Marketing and Servicing & Recovery – each with their own strategy leader and supporting solution consultants. Within each market, we take an entrepreneurial sense of ownership to serving our clients and growing our business, valuing subject matter expertise, critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and openness to collaboration.
About the role
LexisNexis Risk Solutions has been a pioneer in the use of non-traditional data and advanced analytics in the risk management industry for decades. Within our Business Risk Management vertical, we enable organizations to better serve small-to-medium sized business (SMBs) – by providing deeper, more current insight into more SMBs than any other provider in the industry. Our SMB-focused solutions span the customer lifecycle – from acquisition through servicing – and use cases – from credit assessment, to verification, to fraud assessment.
The Sr. Director of Strategy for Business Risk Management will serve as the general manager and strategic lead for our Business Risk Management market - a sizeable and growing portfolio at LexisNexis Risk Solutions. This role will be responsible for developing and executing the domestic commercial strategy to grow revenue that includes new product development and innovation, direct and indirect sales activity, as well as M&A and other inorganic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership, strategic direction and long-range planning to develop and implement the short and long range operating objectives to achieve maximum revenue growth in support of the corporate strategy.
Develop an appropriate product portfolio mix and appropriate positioning to achieve revenue targets.
Provide recommendations for new product concepts and existing product modifications.
Communicate strategic decisions and product plans to senior leaders across the business
Develop and maintain a view of the capability gaps facing the organization and create a mitigation plan including a target list of M&A candidates and the requisite strategic acquisition rationale for each candidate.
Direct the analysis for specific near term market opportunities of major importance and the development of business cases, pricing, negotiation and contract strategies to capture the market opportunity.
Review and evaluate the market area performance on a continuing basis and establish the proper measures of performance; provide direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.
Lead and work within cross functional teams (finance, product development, marketing, and sales) to execute go to market strategies.
Develop and recommend sales channel strategy utilizing market research and data.
Support relationships with key accounts, industry and trade associations, government representatives, public service organizations, customers and vendors as necessary in the overall management of the market area.
Initiate and develop pricing strategies and policies; recommend pricing actions and promotional programs in support of market area strategy and revenue plan.
Other duties as assigned Required travel: 15 – 20%, occasionally higher
Requirements
Requires a BS or equivalent educational achievement – MBA preferred
Requires a minimum of 10 years related technical and professional experience.
Experience utilizing data and analytics to drive credit risk and marketing strategy
Experience with credit scores, attributes, reports, and similar solutions for evaluating the veracity and creditworthiness of a business
Experience with data, scores, attributes, and similar solutions used to ensure lenders and service providers have taken the compliance steps prior to opening an account with a business
Skills required include business acumen, strategic planning, organizational assessment, creativity, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities and outstanding communication skills.
The ability to work effectively within a cross functional organization.

Position is eligible for base salary plus an annual bonus.
The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for Hawaii and Colorado: $150,400 - 279,300 USD
The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for Maryland and Washington: $158,000 - 293,300 USD
The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for California and Washington DC: $173,00 - 321,200 USD
The salary range provided in this posting is the base salary range for New York and New Jersey: $165,500 - 307,200 USD
