The Sr. Director, Solutions Architecture, Technology Alliances is a highly specialized and unique role at Vectra AI that will orchestrate new types of integrated solutions to solve customer cyber-defense challenges with the company’s technology alliance partners.
This role is highly versatile and prominent, collaborating with product and engineering executives both at Vectra AI, as well as at external tech companies, including but not limited to CrowdStrike, AWS, Microsoft, and Google.
Job Duties
- Develop a deep functional and technical understanding of Vectra’s platform and how customers currently use the technology to protect their organizations; Stay at the forefront of the security landscape by maintaining in-depth knowledge of Vectra AI's product line, alliance partner products, and industry trends
- Collaborate with product management, technical sales, product development and technology alliance partners to understand customer cyberdefense goals and conceptualize technology integrations that have the most potential to address them
- Develop and foster strong technical and product executive relationships with alliance partners (e.g. CTO, VP Engineering, Chief Product Officer), to identify new integration opportunities, and to ensure their support
- Evangelize Vectra’s products and technology with alliance partners by explaining what they do, how they work, and how they might be integrated with partner products using Vectra’s API or other mechanisms
- Collaborate with technology alliance partners on their own product roadmaps to ensure they are taking into account the capabilities of Vectra AI’s products. Likewise, ensure Vectra product roadmaps take into account the capabilities of Tech Alliance Partner products. Ensure that technology integrations are not only feasible, but are implemented in a timely fashion, in ways that maximize value for mutual customers, for Vectra, and for Vectra’s tech alliance partners.
Qualifications
- Cybersecurity Experience: Extensive experience working in the cybersecurity solutions market in a customer and/or partner facing capacity, having gained broad knowledge and expertise in the diverse threat landscape covering all modern attack surfaces. This level of experience is typically acquired by obtaining a Bachelors degree or Masters Degree in a relevant field plus 15 years cybersecurity industry work experience
- Technical Proficiency: Deep and thorough understanding of security product categories (EDR, CDR, NDR, Identity Threat Detection and Response, SIEM, SSE) and Security Operation Center (SOC) tools and processes (e.g. Gartner’s “SOC Triad”). Ability to comprehend and communicate both Vectra’s security product capabilities, and those of Vectra’s Tech Alliance partners (e.g. CrowdStrike, AWS, Microsoft, Google, etc.)
- Solution Architecting Experience: Authority in the field of Solutions Architecture. Demonstrated creativity, with the ability to envision and launch new types of integrated solutions, that enable real-time threat detection and response across the hybrid attack surface, spanning Cloud Networks, SaaS Applications, On-Premises Networks, Endpoints, Identity Platforms, and Generative AI Platforms.
- Communication and Executive Influence Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, for crafting compelling technology integration proposals to executives at Vectra and to Vectra’s Tech Alliance Partners.
- Security Enthusiast: Passionate about the security landscape with a strong understanding of attacker progression (Red Team/Penetration Testing methodologies) and Incident Response (Blue Team) approaches.
- Startup DNA is a must: willing and able to do "whatever it takes" with motivation to find solutions, rather than merely admire the challenge. Location Preference: within commuting distance of Vectra’s San Jose Headquarters and/or proximity to Vectra’s Tech Alliance partners.
