This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Director of Workday & Financial Systems in the United States.

In this senior leadership role, you will own the strategy, performance, and evolution of enterprise Workday Financials and PSA platforms within a complex, fast-scaling, publicly traded organization. You will lead a specialized systems team responsible for enabling core financial operations, supporting M&A integrations, and driving continuous platform optimization. The role combines deep functional expertise in financial systems with strong leadership across technology, finance, and enterprise architecture. You will act as a key partner to senior finance executives, ensuring systems align with accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements. This is a high-impact position where your work directly supports operational scalability, financial accuracy, and strategic transformation. The environment is dynamic and acquisitive, requiring strong structure, adaptability, and the ability to balance execution speed with long-term system integrity.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead, develop, and scale the Workday Financials and PSA systems team, ensuring strong delivery capability and operational excellence
  • Own the end-to-end strategy, health, and roadmap for Workday Financials and PSA platforms across the enterprise
  • Drive platform optimization, enhancements, and release management while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and SDLC standards
  • Partner with Finance leadership (CFO, Controller, FP&A, Treasury) to support core financial processes including close, reporting, and planning
  • Oversee system integrations and data onboarding for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless financial system consolidation
  • Ensure SOX compliance across Workday-related controls, including access, change management, and segregation of duties
  • Manage external vendors, system integrators, and advisory partners supporting Workday ecosystems
  • Lead financial systems governance, security architecture, and risk management in collaboration with Audit and Cybersecurity teams
  • Drive automation and intelligent solutions across finance and PSA workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Align Workday PSA with financial and commercial systems to optimize end-to-end quote-to-cash and revenue processes

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of experience leading enterprise financial systems, with strong expertise in Workday Financials and/or PSA platforms, including at least 5+ years in a leadership capacity. You have a deep understanding of core accounting processes such as record-to-report, close, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting. Experience working in a publicly traded environment with SOX compliance responsibilities is essential. You have successfully supported ERP transformations, large-scale implementations, or system optimization initiatives, ideally within highly acquisitive organizations. Strong collaboration skills are required, with demonstrated ability to partner closely with senior Finance and IT leadership. A solid grasp of financial data structures, integrations, and enterprise platforms such as Salesforce or Snowflake is highly valued. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on technical and functional leadership.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of $170,000 – $210,000 USD depending on experience and location
  • Opportunity to lead enterprise-scale Workday transformation in a fast-growing, acquisitive organization
  • Remote-friendly work environment
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements
  • Equity or long-term incentive opportunities depending on eligibility
  • Strong focus on professional growth and leadership development
  • Exposure to complex enterprise systems and M&A integration programs
  • Collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on innovation and impact.
