About the role


As a key member of the Market Access Leadership team, the Senior Director of Patient Access will be responsible for developing CG Oncology’s patient access strategy and managing the necessary services for providers, pharmacies, and patients to enhance the customer experience and achieve key performance objectives. This role requires both strategic and tactical expertise in market access, overseeing the effective design, integration, and operation of access services (HUB, Financial Support Services, Distribution, and Nursing) throughout the patient's journey.


The Senior Director will lead the development, negotiation, implementation, and management of service contracts with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand strategies. Additionally, this role serves as an important commercial leader tasked with shaping our patient-focused approach and addressing critical areas to create an exceptional customer experience. The position involves close collaboration with the brand team, field teams, legal department, vendors, and other Market Access team members. Furthermore, the Senior Director will be responsible for recruiting and leading the Field Access team, ensuring seamless execution of the patient journey, and removing reimbursement barriers for patients.

Essential Functions

  • Development of Patient Access strategies and service approach for CG Oncology. Includes establishment and integration of co-pay vendors, foundations, HCP reimbursement resources and patient support services
  • Build and Lead Field Access & Reimbursement teams. Help patients get on therapy by working with HCP offices to understand reimbursement coding and appropriate use
  • Establish vendor service requirements and engagement. Leads all aspects of day-to-day vendor management and monitoring of performance vs program SLAs
  • Ensure market insights and analytics are integrated into access strategies/tactics
  • Cultivate strategies and tactics that enhance the patient and provider experience by monitoring new services approaches and vendors
  • Work with broader commercial teams to build best in class patient affordability & service solutions including reimbursement HUB, co-pay, and associated support programs to optimize patient initiation and retention
  • Monitor and resolve day-to-day operational issues between channel partners to ensure optimal operations between participants for exceptional service with HCPs and institutions
  • Participate and lead regularly scheduled business review meetings with all partners and ensure that follow-up is communicated and executed internally and externally

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 15 years’ biotech/pharma experience.
  • Experience with launch of new therapies, specifically physician administered drugs and cold chain therapies
  • Experience negotiating and managing complex contracts, building infrastructure to capture and report actionable performance metrics, and successfully managing multiple partners.
