This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Director, Media Strategy based in United States.

This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to define and execute innovative, full-funnel media strategies that drive long-term brand growth and customer acquisition. You will oversee significant media investments across diverse channels while shaping data-driven campaigns that elevate brand awareness, consideration, and market impact. Working in a highly collaborative, remote environment, you will partner with Growth, Brand, Creative, and Analytics teams to transform consumer insights into measurable business outcomes. The position combines strategic leadership, analytical expertise, and creative thinking to identify new media opportunities, optimize investments, and foster innovation. You will also lead and mentor a high-performing media team, helping build a culture of experimentation, performance excellence, and continuous learning.


Accountabilities
  • Develop and lead comprehensive upper- and mid-funnel media strategies that strengthen brand equity while supporting customer acquisition and business growth.
  • Manage substantial multi-million-dollar media budgets across channels including video, connected TV (CTV), out-of-home (OOH), social media, influencer marketing, audio, podcasts, sponsorships, partnerships, and emerging platforms.
  • Define strategic media investment frameworks that align awareness and consideration objectives with overall business performance.
  • Identify and execute innovative media placements, sponsorships, collaborations, and partnership opportunities that expand audience reach and enhance brand visibility.
  • Leverage AI-powered solutions, emerging technologies, and evolving media channels to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Partner with analytics teams to translate marketing mix modeling (MMM), multi-touch attribution (MTA), incrementality studies, and brand research into actionable media strategies.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness through performance metrics, brand health indicators, and consumer research to continuously optimize targeting, messaging, and media allocation.
  • Collaborate closely with Creative, Performance Marketing, Brand, and Analytics teams to align messaging, investment decisions, and long-term growth strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of media professionals while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in media strategy, brand marketing, growth marketing, or related leadership roles.
  • Proven experience within a direct-to-consumer (DTC) or eCommerce business environment.
  • Extensive expertise in upper- and mid-funnel media planning across digital, video, CTV, audio, influencer, OOH, partnerships, and integrated media channels.
  • Strong knowledge of brand research platforms such as Ipsos, Numerator, Circana, Muck Rack, Hootsuite, or comparable tools.
  • Solid understanding of marketing measurement methodologies, including MMM, MTA, incrementality testing, and attribution modeling.
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale media budgets and optimizing investments based on performance insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets and marketing analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, storytelling, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing teams, lead cross-functional initiatives, and deliver measurable business results through integrated brand and performance marketing.
