This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr Data Engineer in the United States.
The Sr Data Engineer will play a critical role in designing and implementing robust data management strategies to support business operations and analytics. You will work across multiple environments to acquire, cleanse, transform, and provision data while ensuring its reliability, security, and compliance. The role involves developing architectures, automation workflows, and monitoring capabilities to make raw data actionable and accessible for enterprise initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, optimize processes, and deliver predictive and prescriptive insights. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies, big data platforms, and advanced analytics tools, providing significant impact on the organization’s data-driven decision-making.
· Design and implement standardized data management procedures for data ingestion, staging, transformation, provisioning, and destruction.
· Ensure data quality and integrity across multiple zones and environments.
· Develop and maintain data architectures aligned with business requirements, including automation scripts and workflows.
· Conduct research and analysis to provide insights and improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
· Deploy analytics programs, machine learning, and statistical methods to extract insights and optimize processes.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to define data acquisition strategies, standards, and documentation.
· Create monitoring capabilities for business processes and provide updates to data consumers.
· Maintain data security, compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
· 8+ years of overall IT experience with enterprise-level data engineering exposure.
· Strong proficiency in scripting languages, primarily Python and PySpark, and experience building enterprise frameworks.
· Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Glue, DBT) and data ingestion methodologies.
· Expertise in data warehousing concepts and big data technologies, including EMR and Hadoop.
· Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, Azure) and strong SQL knowledge across relational and NoSQL databases.
· Familiarity with data security, encryption, and compliance standards.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in a data engineering environment.
· Experience in API development and building streaming platforms is a plus.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
