This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Sr. Architect, Security Research & Threat Mitigation in the United States.

The Sr. Architect, Security Research & Threat Mitigation will lead advanced security research and threat mitigation efforts across enterprise software environments. This role involves identifying vulnerabilities, assessing risks, and designing proactive security solutions to protect mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will conduct thorough security research, develop custom rules and mitigations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen client security postures. They will also perform security audits, advise on best practices, and guide the implementation of controls in complex enterprise and ERP environments. This position requires a hands-on, technical expert with a strategic mindset and a commitment to client success.

Accountabilities

·         Conduct research on security vulnerabilities, threats, and weaknesses affecting enterprise systems.

·         Develop and implement mitigations, including custom rules, configurations, and controls to reduce exposure to 0-day threats.

·         Perform security assessments and audits for ERP systems, databases, and other enterprise applications.

·         Review complex technical and business requirements, providing clear risk analysis and actionable recommendations.

·         Collaborate with Client Success Managers and technical teams to ensure security best practices are implemented.

·         Design, evaluate, and improve security tools, processes, and solutions to enhance protection and compliance.

·         Stay current with emerging security threats, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

·         Provide guidance, feedback, and thought leadership on security product enhancements and implementations.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience considered.

·         Security certification required (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CEH, CRISC) or actively pursuing.

·         10+ years of progressive experience in information security, threat research, and mitigation.

·         Hands-on technical expertise in vulnerability assessment, threat hunting, and penetration testing.

·         Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOX, PCI, Privacy Shield).

·         Experience designing and delivering enterprise-level security controls.

·         Strong analytical and risk management skills with the ability to make informed trade-off decisions.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·         Familiarity with ERP systems, databases, and application security (SAP, Oracle, MSSQL, HANA, etc.).

·         Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in high-pressure environments.

·         Commitment to ethical standards, client satisfaction, and continuous learning in cybersecurity.
