The Sr. Agile Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in modernizing enterprise-level software applications for a nationwide case management system. Working within agile development teams, you will facilitate requirements gathering, backlog management, and solution design to ensure that cloud-based applications meet functional and user expectations. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable stories while maintaining alignment with project objectives. You will support process improvement initiatives, document workflows, and contribute to testing and validation activities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive analyst passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions in a dynamic, agile environment.


Accountabilities:
  • Participate in all Agile Scrum ceremonies and program planning meetings, mapping customer journeys for enterprise applications
  • Own backlog decomposition strategy, ensuring a prioritized backlog with clear Definition of Done and Ready for upcoming sprints
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to clarify requirements, resolve impediments, and manage scope
  • Develop and maintain process flows, narratives, and visual documentation of business and technical processes using tools like Microsoft Visio
  • Support testing teams by defining acceptance criteria, validating deliverables, and ensuring solutions meet quality standards
  • Facilitate retrospectives, continuous improvement, and knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance team efficiency and process effectiveness
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, propose mitigation plans, and ensure timely resolution of issues
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting product owners and agile teams, eliciting business needs, maintaining user stories, and documenting requirements
  • Strong background in business process analysis, workflow design, and process re-engineering
  • Experience translating complex requirements into technical user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with cloud-based IT solutions, microservices architecture, and resilient web applications
  • Experience with front-end and back-end technologies such as React and NodeJS preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences
  • BS/BA or MA/MS degree in relevant field
  • Hands-on experience in agile methodology, backlog management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams
