Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute district-level business strategies to achieve sales targets, expand product adoption, and maximize market opportunities across assigned geography.
  • Lead, coach, recruit, and develop a team of Specialty Sales Representatives and Specialty Account Managers, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Analyze market data, customer insights, and account trends to build actionable business plans and identify growth opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, health systems, and key opinion leaders across the immunology and gastroenterology landscape.
  • Implement national and regional sales and marketing programs while ensuring alignment with local market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including managed markets and marketing teams, to optimize access, reimbursement, and product performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational standards across all district sales activities.

Requirements

This role requires a strong background in pharmaceutical or biotech sales leadership, with proven experience managing specialty or account-based sales teams in complex healthcare environments. The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, immunology, or medical device industries.
  • Experience in specialty sales, account-based selling, or hospital/health system environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Proven track record of coaching, motivating, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel extensively (50–75%), including overnight travel as required.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary range: $176,000 – $242,000
  • Short-term and long-term incentive opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
