SUMMARY: 

We are hiring a temporary role to join the sourcing team. 

The sourcing team drives the product life cycle process from concept to launch in support of our global design and vendor/partner. This team plays a key role in Owlet’s overall success by facilitating the development roadmap, selecting vendor/partner, establishing the supply chain, and managing vendor/partner relationships while seizing the best value of total cost of ownership.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):

  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with key suppliers to review performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance communication and collaboration with suppliers.


Pricing Negotiation and Cost Management:

  • Assist in negotiating pricing structures for both newly developed and existing products, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to support negotiation strategies.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure pricing models are financially sound.
  • Monitoring monthly consignment inventory, yield loss, and PPV reports, excess inventory at contract manufacturer.

Purchase Order (PO) Creation:

  • Generate purchase orders detailing the agreed-upon terms and conditions.
  • Specify the type and quantity of materials required, delivery dates, and any other pertinent information.
  • Keep tracking the purchase status of materials until they get delivered. 


Vendor Set-Up and Records Management:

  • Oversee the vendor set-up process, including the completion of necessary documentation such as Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), and Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Maintain organized records in the sourcing and procurement folder, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field
  • Experience in a supply chain, procurement or buying role, preferably in manufacturing, retail, electronics
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach

PREFERRED:

  • Experience with international sourcing or working with overseas suppliers
  • Language skills, preferably Chinese.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in procurement
  • Certification (e.g., CPM, CPSM, CIPS) is a plus
