Solution Architect

This role is a senior cybersecurity architecture position focused on securing large-scale SAP environments within a global enterprise transformation program. You will act as the technical security leader, shaping end-to-end SAP security strategy across design, implementation, and operational phases. The position involves defining security standards, building reference architectures, and guiding cross-functional teams to embed security into every layer of the SAP ecosystem. You will also play a key role in risk analysis, threat modeling, and security validation for complex enterprise integrations. Working closely with architecture, compliance, and engineering teams, you will ensure security is proactively designed rather than retrofitted. This is a highly influential role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders in a global, fast-moving environment.

Accountabilities:

You will lead the design and governance of SAP security architecture, ensuring robust protection across enterprise systems and integrations. You will define standards, assess risks, and guide secure implementation practices throughout the SAP lifecycle.

Serve as the lead cybersecurity architect for SAP programs, defining strategy, roadmap, and reference architectures
Establish and enforce security standards, controls, and best practices across design, development, and operations
Produce key security deliverables including architecture diagrams, threat models, and risk assessment reports
Lead SAP security assessment activities, including adversarial testing and architecture reviews
Partner with enterprise architecture, compliance, audit, and business stakeholders to embed security requirements
Provide expert guidance on SAP security domains including GRC, IAM, data protection, and secure integration
Ensure security risks are identified, documented, and mitigated across SAP landscapes and extensions
Act as a subject matter expert for SAP security across global teams and programs

Requirements:

You bring extensive experience in cybersecurity architecture, with strong expertise in SAP security and enterprise-scale systems. You combine deep technical knowledge with strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in areas such as threat modeling, IAM, cryptography, penetration testing, cloud, or application security
Strong SAP security experience, including secure SDLC, transport management, and SAST/DAST for ABAP and custom developments
Experience securing SAP components such as Fiori apps, APIs, NetWeaver Gateway, and WRICEF objects
Strong programming or scripting background, ideally ABAP, with additional exposure to JavaScript (Fiori/UI5) or Java
Deep knowledge of security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling methodologies (e.g., STRIDE)
Experience conducting risk assessments and designing mitigation controls, ideally using SAP GRC tools
Strong understanding of security architecture principles for large-scale enterprise systems
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Azure Cybersecurity Expert are highly desirable
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex security topics for technical and executive audiences
Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to operate in ambiguous, global environments
