The advisor will provide Cerner expertise, lead knowledge transfer sessions, and deliver workflow guidance across councils, workshops, and solution experts. Responsibilities include translating requirements, managing and reviewing tickets, and supporting design reviews. The role will also collaborate with the Office of Functional Champion Testing Team (OFCt) on testing activities, assess Oracle best practices, and recommend optimization strategies to ensure workflows and configurations align with VA needs.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of professional work experience</li><li>Ability to work independently in designing and developing new software products or major enhancements to existing software within a healthcare/clinical environment</li><li>Serves as the highest-level technical expert, addressing issues of systems integration, compatibility, healthcare semantics, informatics, and cross-platform functionality</li><li>Responsible for project completion and delivery</li><li>Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects and communicates recommendations to management</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare IT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related technical field (an additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements)</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with the VA</li><li>Experience implementing Electronic Health Records</li></ul><p><strong>Eligibility:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis</li><li>Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust clearance for this role</li></ul><p><strong>Compensation:</strong><br>Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
