The Software Project Manager will work alongside other ambitious, innovative thinkers at the forefront of developing new methods and technologies for humanitarian and international development decision making. <span style="font-weight: 400; background-color: transparent;">As a key member of the team, this role will ensure the seamless provision of data capture, analytics, and visualization products and services.&nbsp;</span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations. The SPM will liaise closely with the Data Science and Web Management Teams to ensure a seamless provision of data capture, analytics and visualization products and services in support of the FEWS NET mission.&nbsp;</span></span></h4><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The responsibilities for the position include:</span></p><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 400; background-color: transparent; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Manage the software development teams and processes (70%):</span></p><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Run an Agile software development process using aligned Sprints across multiple teams of software developers.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Track key deliverables to ensure timely execution.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Mentor software development teams in Agile approaches and best practices for requirements definition, time estimation, coding, testing, version control and documentation.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Monitor compliance and implement performance metrics.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Manage the product backlog and feature requests, both from within AIR and from clients.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ensure continuous client satisfaction with the product (15%):</span></p><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop feedback mechanisms.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Identify and evaluate emerging use-cases, user stories and feature requests.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support specification and SLA development processes.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Implement user acceptance testing processes.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensure successful and timely client demos.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Establish performance monitoring criteria, design and manage monitoring systems.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Report as required on project performance both internally and to clients, including producing regular monthly internal status reports, and quarterly progress reports for the client.</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Manage help and software documentation processes (15%):</span></p><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Oversee help desk and user documentation services for projects.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensure that user manuals/ help documentation / videos are clear, useful and up to date.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensure help desk feedback is incorporated in production workflows.</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
