Software Engineer - Retool
Job Status: Contract (~4 months with opportunities to extend)
Position Overview:
As a Software Engineer at Auxo Solutions, your responsibilities encompass building a strong infrastructure and automating as much of the systems as possible. Your role involves close collaboration with diverse teams, including UX /UI designers, application engineers, technical project managers, and development teams. The primary objective is to guarantee the delivery of top-tier applications that consistently exceed customer expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop full-stack enterprise applications with a focus on meeting business requirements.
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand and document their specific business needs.
- Propose and present solution recommendations, offering technical guidance to project teams.
- Provide innovative solutions to address complex business problems and challenges.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continually enhancing skills to contribute to project success.
- Mentor and guide other architects and engineers within the team.
- Manage and actively contribute to the professional development and growth of junior engineers.
- Be able to write in Python, React, NodeJS, C#, Java or other modern languages at a high level
- Work withFunction-as-a-Service (FaaS) platforms such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions along with other Serverless technologies.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years’ of experience working as a Full-Stack Developer/Software Engineer in a professional setting (outside of school).
- Professional experience delivering software solutions using Retool
- Insurtech and/or Fintech experience strongly preferred.
- Start-up experience preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Python and associated web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask). Strong proficiency in React and front-end technologies. (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
- Experience in database design, modeling, and SQL.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
