This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer in the United States.

As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building scalable, high-quality SaaS and mobile applications that streamline complex processes for clients. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from architecture and design to implementation and deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and implement best practices to ensure performance, reliability, and security of cloud-based solutions. Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver robust, scalable SaaS and mobile solutions, integrating APIs and shared libraries.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, and client-facing teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance software.
  • Lead technical initiatives using Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies, ensuring timely delivery of software projects.
  • Conduct code reviews for front-end and back-end development, providing actionable feedback and guidance.
  • Automate static/dynamic code analysis and software composition analysis to maintain code quality and security.
  • Continuously improve application architecture, lifecycle, and tech stack, minimizing technical debt.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to enhance performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience; 7+ years preferred for advanced roles.
  • Proficiency in PHP, SQL, MySQL, React, React Native, JavaScript, Shell Scripting, GitHub, AWS, and Nginx.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns, data structures, test-driven development, backend systems, infrastructure, databases, and APIs.
  • Experience implementing best practices across the software development lifecycle, including code reviews, source control, testing, and operations.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH/HITRUST/PHI/PII and PCI DSS compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based architectures, serverless computing, microservices, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills in a distributed team environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, OData, web application security, SAML, OAuth2, and OWASP standards.
