We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer - Java to join a collaborative, agile development team responsible for building and maintaining web applications, supporting tools, and special projects. Accountabilities

• Design, build, and maintain user interface and server-side components using approved frameworks.
• Participate in design and code reviews, providing suggestions for improvements and troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with team members at architecture, design, and code levels to ensure high-performance, standards-based systems.
• Follow quality programs, coding standards, and procedures to maintain software excellence.
• Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards across all areas of responsibility.
• Contribute to internal communities of practice for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; professional certifications or equivalent experience a plus.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer with a strong development background.
• Proficiency in Java Platform (SE & EE), XML, RESTful APIs, ORM frameworks, MVC frameworks, and client-side scripting.
• Experience with test-driven development and testing frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, and microservice frameworks.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application defects in mature production systems.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Java messaging systems is a plus.
