Skimmer is on a mission: to modernize the pool and spa service and repair industry. We’re a private equity-backed company with 6000+ customers using Skimmer’s pool service platform to transform their businesses. But we’re not stopping there (there are over 70,000 pool service companies in this surprisingly large “niche” space).

Our customers love us almost as much as we love them (check out our reviews and our NPS score of 68!)

We were recently honored to join the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies, the Deloitte Fast 500, were named one of Built In Austin's Best Startups, as well as Austin's Best Places for Working Parents.

We’re looking for big thinkers with small egos, so let’s dive in!

Our Values: At Skimmer we

  • Realize our customers' success is our success.

  • Build humble, diverse teams who have fun winning.

  • Drive results with urgency.

  • Earn trust through transparent communication.

What you'll do:

Skimmer is growing fast and we need to wrangle all of our internal tools like HubSpot, Rippling, Stripe and roll out new tooling to keep up with the growth. You will report into the R&D / Development organization but partner across the company in order to optimize, streamline, and coordinate across Skimmer’s teams.

We are looking for candidates who have experience with API based, real-time integrations, as well as knowledge of middleware products like Tray.io and Zapier. Most tooling at Skimmer is written in C#, but other languages may be better given the use case. The key to being successful in this role is to have excellent project management skills to help drive technical integrations inside the business and to partner with Revenue Operations, Marketing, Support, and other teams to prioritize your backlog.

You will make the technical decisions with your in-house team counterparts on how to implement integrations and decide which tools will use middleware versus native integrations. You will understand the integration landscape and how best practices evolve over time. You will support the integrations and work with business users to understand the details and issues. Actual provisioning of user access and IT support will be handled by a separate IT contact, and will not be part of this role.

Your number 1 goal in this role is to deliver integrations quickly and delight internal stakeholders.

You will be joining a company with a collaborative culture, focus on customers, and emphasis on having a good time together! 🏊

Key responsibilities:

  • Centralize the technical ownership of our internal tools to ensure quality

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to make sure internal tools are optimized and provisioned correctly

  • Own the integrations between internal tools

  • Make decisions and recommendations to the business on how to configure and support internal tools to achieve business goals

  • Lead complex, cross-functional projects including all stakeholders to design, configure, and build the right programs to scale Skimmer’s business.

  • Develop internal tools that enhance productivity throughout the business.

  • Partner with DevOps, to enhance tooling around the Skimmer platform.

Early Projects (first 90 days):

  • Document existing Hubspot integrations using Azure Logic Apps and Zapier

  • Meet with internal stakeholders and develop a plan for scalable Hubspot integrations

  • Design and implement automation to manage the workflow between HubSpot and Azure DevOps

Your Experience:

  • Experience in API integration, ideally with a background in vertical SaaS

  • Our primary language is C#, but in some cases other languages may be a better fit for internal integrations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL.

  • Proven expertise in middleware tools

  • Experience with CRM tools; CRM tools like HubSpot is a must

  • Enough overall business understanding to advise on the implications of technical decisions and direct teams towards optimal results

  • A history as a highly effective integrations developer

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) and a track record of leading successful cross-functional projects.

  • tools such as Zuplo, Zapier, Tray.io or other integration tools.

Benefits

  • Competitive base pay + bonus potential

  • Generous medical, dental, and vision plans (we pay 100% of your premium and 50% of your dependents’)

  • Fantastic culture with a very strong eNPS- we work hard, celebrate wins, and learn as we go to always be improving to benefit our customers.

  • Immediate access to 401(k) with company match

  • Flexible PTO (MINIMUM of 10 days required every year)

  • 12 weeks paid parental leave for birthing parent, 6 weeks paid leave for supporting partner

  • Remote work friendly

  • Comprehensive learning and development budget

  • A manager dedicated to your development

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, family status, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, neurodiversity, disability, age, or veteran status, or any other non-merit based or legally protected grounds.
