We’re just getting started—join us on our journey to make mental healthcare accessible to everyone, everywhere.</p></div><p>We’re looking for a full time remote <strong>Software Engineer II</strong> to join our <strong>Engagement team </strong>in the Member Experience superpod. You’ll be embedded in a cross-functional <strong>feature pod</strong>, working closely with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver thoughtful, elegant solutions to some of the most complex problems in the mental healthcare space.</p><p>Your primary focus will be building and enhancing mobile features using <strong>Flutter and Dart</strong>, but you’ll also have opportunities to contribute across the stack — including web (React) and backend services (Ruby on Rails, if you're open to it). We value clean, maintainable code, and you'll work with a <strong>shared component library</strong> to keep our experiences consistent and scalable.</p><p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys <strong>collaborative problem-solving</strong>, is comfortable with <strong>pair programming</strong>, and is always <strong>curious about learning new things</strong> in a fast-paced, agile environment.</p><p><strong>What You’ll be Doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and expand the capabilities of our Flutter app</li><li>Learn and grow from our Senior Developers and become a champion of our standards&nbsp;</li><li>Show curiosity and initiative in working across the stack when needed – implementing push notifications in our backend or on our automations.&nbsp;</li><li>Build thoughtful, high quality UI and components by contributing to our design system/component library in Flutter and potentially React</li><li>Expand on the foundation of a well tested codebase to ensure it remains robust and scalable as our business rapidly grows</li><li>Identify areas for growth of and iteration on our application stack and advocate for them via our engineering roadmap</li><li>Collaborate with and become a role model for the mobile team</li><li>Help us make better architecture decisions throughout our stack</li></ul><p><strong>What success looks like in this role:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Ensure Operational Excellence: Maintain a stable, reliable mobile codebase with minimal error rates and high production uptime.</li><li>Testing Coverage: Expand and sustain 100% test coverage on critical components, and improve coverage in high-risk or legacy areas.</li><li>Project Delivery: Consistently deliver assigned projects on time and with high quality, requiring only medium to low levels of oversight.</li><li>Process Improvements: Proactively identify workflow or tooling pain points and implement automation or process enhancements to address them.</li><li>Team Collaboration: Contribute to a culture of strong communication and collaboration, taking opportunities to improve team alignment and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Technical Leadership: Drive technical projects from ideation to completion, ensuring clear planning, consensus-building, and timely execution.</li><li>Code Quality: Spend several hours per week reviewing code, providing thoughtful, actionable feedback to uphold high engineering standards.</li><li>Mentorship: Actively mentor junior and mid-level engineers, supporting their technical growth and helping them achieve their career goals.</li><li>Incident Response: Respond promptly to high-severity bugs, communicating effectively across teams while ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.</li></ul><p><strong>What we expect from you:</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of professional development experience</li><li>Good hands on experience with Flutter and/or other mobile languages and concepts</li><li>Curiosity towards learning React web</li><li>Curiosity or experience towards implementing automations like CI/CD actions</li><li>Bonus for Ruby on Rails (Backend development)</li><li>Experience with GraphQL&nbsp;</li><li>Comfortable working on an agile team and curious about learning new things</li><li>Embraces writing well designed tests that accompanies all code</li><li>Enjoys coaching &amp; growing engineers, and participating in pair programming</li></ul><p><em>The target base salary range for this position is <strong>$120,000 - $150,250</strong>, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
