<h3>About the role</h3><p>Thatch is rewiring how health benefits work. We build software that gives employees real control over how they use their benefits.</p><p>We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our Product Engagement team and improve how members and employers experience Thatch, from account creation through enrollment.</p><p>You’ll work on the product surfaces and systems that drive activation and engagement. That includes building user-facing features, the backend systems that support them, and the instrumentation needed to understand what’s working.</p><p>This is a product engineering role. You’ll work across the stack, partner closely with product and design, and ship changes that directly impact how customers experience Thatch. </p><h3>What you will do</h3><ul><li>Own and improve core product flows related to onboarding, activation, and enrollment.</li><li>Build and ship full stack features, from backend services to user-facing interfaces.</li><li>Instrument product surfaces to understand user behavior and identify opportunities for improvement. </li><li>Design, test, and iterate on changes that improve conversion.</li><li>Work closely with product, design, and cross-functional partners to ship solutions.</li><li>Contribute to systems that support engagement and lifecycle messaging.</li></ul><h3>What we are looking for</h3><ul><li>Experience building and shipping production web applications across the stack.</li><li>Strong product judgment and comfort working through ambiguity.</li><li>Ability to reason about user behavior and use data to inform decisions.</li><li>Experience owning features end-to-end.</li><li>Track record of cross-functional collaboration and good technical decision-making.</li></ul><p>We care most about the scope you’ve owned, the impact you’ve had, and how you make decisions.</p><h4>Tools and tech stack</h4><ul><li>Ruby on Rails.</li><li>React and TailwindCSS.</li><li>Mixpanel, Segment, Braze.</li></ul><h3>Experience that stands out</h3><ul><li>Work on onboarding, activation, or engagement-focused product areas.</li><li>Experience at an early-stage or high-growth company.</li><li>Background in healthcare, finance, or similarly complex domains.</li></ul><h3>How we work</h3><ul><li>We move quickly and are biased toward action.</li><li>We ship early, learn from real usage, and iterate.</li><li>We operate with trust, ownership, and high empathy.</li><li>We value clarity over ceremony and quality over shortcuts.</li></ul><h3>What to expect</h3><p>We aim to keep the process thoughtful and efficient.
