<h3 class="mb-4 text-xl font-extrabold tracking-tight text-gray-900 sm:text-3xl md:text-2xl">About the role</h3><p>As an engineer on the employer experience team, you’ll build user facing products that enable employers to quickly offer health benefits to their employers, efficiently manage their employee benefits, and ensure they have right visibility into healthcare costs. Employers depend on Thatch to ensure they are providing great health benefits to their employees and our aim is to make it as straightforward as possible to get their employees covered. You will work with fellow engineers, engineering managers and cross-functional partners to design and support the creation of end-to-end product experiences that make employers able to offer incredible health benefits to their employees.</p><p>If multiple software engineer roles might be a fit for you, apply to any one, and we’ll work together to find the best match.</p><div class="mt-10"><h3 class="mb-4 text-xl font-extrabold tracking-tight text-gray-900 sm:text-3xl md:text-2xl">What you'll do</h3><ul class="ml-4 list-disc"><li>Build experiences for employers, providing them with what they need to offer and operate their employee health benefits.</li><li>Iterate on the employer dashboard, making it easier and more powerful to use.</li><li>Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies to own and solve problems from end-to-end.</li><li>Collaborate with peers across the organization such as product, design, and operations to build and share new features.</li><li>Uphold our high engineering standards and bring consistency to the codebase.</li><li>Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.</li></ul></div><div class="mt-10"><h3 class="mb-4 text-xl font-extrabold tracking-tight text-gray-900 sm:text-3xl md:text-2xl">Background we're looking for</h3><ul class="ml-4 list-disc"><li>8+ years of experience building web applications as a full-stack engineer, ideally at a tech company, with flexibility for exceptional candidates.</li><li>Willingness to put yourself in the shoes of employers and be a steward of crafting great experiences.</li><li>Experience building software in modern languages and frameworks (we’re currently using Ruby, TypeScript, React, TailwindCSS, and more).
