Software Engineer 1, Data Platform (Remote - US)

In this role, you will be part of a high-performing engineering team responsible for building the scalable, secure, and data-intensive infrastructure that powers advanced AI-driven cloud products. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of large-scale data systems, supporting real-time processing, analytics, and automation. Working alongside experienced engineers, you’ll help build tools that simplify data operations and improve reliability, performance, and scalability—while gaining hands-on experience in distributed systems and cloud computing. Accountabilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and operation of the core components of the company’s data platform.
• Build and enhance tools and services that help other teams integrate and scale data systems efficiently.
• Automate infrastructure, operations, and deployment processes to improve system performance and reliability.
• Apply generative AI techniques to enhance developer and operator workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve scalability and reliability challenges in large-scale data systems.
• Take ownership of projects, delivering high-quality features and improvements with mentorship from senior engineers.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional experience in software engineering, ideally with exposure to backend, distributed systems, or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar programming languages, with solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals (data structures, testing, debugging, clean code).
• Eagerness to learn about modern data technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, or DBT.
• Interest in cloud platforms like AWS, Databricks, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and a proactive mindset toward learning and ownership.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
• (Nice to have) Familiarity with large-scale data processing, orchestration tools, or distributed databases.
