We are looking for a Software Development Manager who can blend technical depth with strategic leadership to drive the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications. In this role, you will lead high-performing teams, foster technical excellence, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure solutions that power our global products.<h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><h3>Leadership & People Management</h3><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers and technical leads across multiple agile teams.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.</li><li practices, diversity of thought, and innovation.</li></ul><h3>Technical Strategy & Execution</h3><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Define and enforce coding, design, and architectural standards across products.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Provide hands-on technical guidance for complex design and implementation challenges.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Collaborate with architects to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automation, and performance tuning.</li></ul><h3>Delivery & Collaboration</h3><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Partner with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to plan, prioritize, and execute releases.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery within Agile and CI/CD frameworks.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Track project health, manage risks, and ensure transparency through metrics and reporting.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Participate in sprint reviews, stakeholder meetings, and release readiness assessments.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Continuously improve development processes to enhance efficiency and delivery velocity.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><h3>Must-Have Experience</h3><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">10+ years of progressive experience in software development, including at least 3 years in engineering management or team-lead roles.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proven track record of leading end-to-end SDLC for enterprise or SaaS-based products.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience managing agile delivery teams in a fast-paced, product-centric environment.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.</li></ul><h3>Technical Proficiency</h3><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Core Technologies: Java, Spring Framework (Boot, Security, MVC), Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, SOAP, and JDBC.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Databases: Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL — with hands-on experience in schema design, SQL optimization, and query tuning.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Build & Dependency Management: Maven, Gradle, Artifactory/Nexus, Snyk for vulnerability management.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Application Servers & Containers: Tomcat, WebLogic, Docker, Kubernetes.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Integration & Messaging: Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, REST integrations, and API Gateway management.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">DevOps & CI/CD: Jenkins Pipelines, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, automated deployments, and environment promotion strategies.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Testing & Automation: JUnit, Mockito, Postman, Selenium, and test coverage analysis.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Security & Compliance: OWASP best practices, authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML, JWT), SSL/TLS, and role-based access control.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Performance & Maintenance: Profiling tools (VisualVM, JProfiler), GC tuning, thread analysis, and memory optimization.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Documentation & Collaboration: Confluence, Jira, Swagger/OpenAPI, and design reviews using UML or PlantUML.</li></ul><h3>Leadership Skills</h3><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into technical outcomes.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Proven experience in coaching, conflict resolution, and team motivation.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ability to balance hands-on involvement with long-term architectural vision.</li></ul><h2>Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills</h2><ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience leading distributed or hybrid teams.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Exposure to Enterprise Legal Management (ELM), TeamConnect, or other large-scale enterprise products.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with observability, performance optimization, or security engineering practices.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Passion for mentoring engineers, driving innovation, and cultivating a high-impact engineering
