Social Media Manager

Role Summary
Literati is looking for an experienced Social Media Manager to join our talented, tight-knit creative team. This role will focus on creating compelling content and engagement activations across all of the major social media platforms for an audience of parents and educators.
The ideal candidate will be resourceful and proactive, even in ambiguity. We’re looking for an excellent communicator who is curious, positive, and believes in our mission whole-heartedly. To all of the passionate posters, “yes, and!” yappers, and bold bookworms—we’d love to hear from you! The salary range for this role is $70,000-$85,000 annually. This is a full-time, exempt role.
What you'll do
Own and manage Literati's presence across all major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest—plus maintaining content on YouTube and Vimeo
Ideate, create, and publish content—reels, carousels, and static posts—using templates and brand assets, including caption writing and copy that appears in video
Monitor, moderate, and engage with our community, responding to comments and DMs in Literati's voice
Collaborate with the creative, book fairs, and product teams to align content with campaign calendars and key moments
Track and report on performance across platforms using Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Center, and Zoho Social and use those insights to refine your approach
Pitch and occasionally manage giveaways and audience engagement activations
Stay on top of platform trends, algorithm shifts, and emerging formats to keep our content fresh and engaging
What you bring
2–4 years of hands-on social media experience, ideally in-house at a consumer brand
Fluency in content production for short-form video and carousel formats—you know what performs and why
Comfort working in Figma with provided templates—you don't need to be a designer, but you should be confident assembling polished, on-brand assets
Strong writing instincts—you can capture a brand voice naturally, write captions that feel human, not templated, and vary tone according to platform
Proficiency with Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Center, Zoho Social, and platform-native analytics
A collaborative, communicative working style—you keep your team informed, ask good questions, and flag issues early
Positive energy and a genuine growth mindset—you're curious, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn
Experience with influencer marketing, giveaway partnership management, and children’s D2C or education brands are a plus.
