ABOUT THIS ROLE

We're looking for a high-efficiency SMB Account Executive who can close inbound deals at scale while managing a renewal book of business. This isn't a traditional hunter role—you'll be qualifying and converting warm inbound leads, helping us build a seamless renewals motion, and identifying and implementing automation opportunities to 10x your impact.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

  • Inbound Engine: Leads are flowing from our 300K+ strong product community and existing customer base; you’ll turn that demand into revenue without endless cold-call grinds.
  • Own the SMB Business Segment for Reforge Learning: You’ll work closely with the Enterprise Sales and Customer Success team on playbooks and processes but fully own our result in SMB.
  • Sell to Product Leaders: Our buyers are PMs, Product Ops, VPs Product & CPOs. If you love chatting building, roadmaps, and feedback loops, you’ll feel right at home.
  • Build an AI-Native Go-To-Market: Reforge is helping product teams become AI-native and to lead in the market we will need to develop an AI-native buyers journey. The SMB business segment is where we will test and learn.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Turn Inbound Interest into Closed-Won: Qualify, discovery, demo, and negotiate deals from first touch to signature. Own the full cycle.
  • Improve Retention: Track usage and engagement, develop at-scale interventions for at-risk accounts, and help us build a more sustainable SMB business.
  • Become A Product Expert: Become a product expert to have high-value conversations with Product Leaders and Champions.
  • Build Scalable Processes using Automation and AI: You will have the unique opportunity to iterate on the systems, playbooks, and best practices that serve as the foundation for SMB.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

Work closely with a small but mighty Reforge Learning team, including Sales, Customer Success, Content and Platform leads. You will be fully responsible for the SMB business result with collaboration and support from the entire Reforge Learning operation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • B2B SaaS Experience: 2-4 years in SaaS sales or account management with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • SMB Velocity: Comfortable with high-volume, transactional sales cycles with a track record of closing deals in the $10K-$30K ACV range.
  • Autonomy: You are high-agency, prefer autonomy, and do not require constant management
  • Efficiency-minded: You naturally look for ways to work smarter, not harder.
  • Data-driven: You track your numbers to stay on track and find key insights to improve your results.
  • Strong communicator: Clear, concise writing and speaking (most interactions are email/async)
  • AI Fluency: Track record of constantly experimenting with how to use AI to improve and scale your work

COMPENSATION

We have built a data-driven compensation philosophy at Reforge, with the intent of enabling all employees to do their best work. When setting compensation for each role, we use bands that include a target salary; on occasion we will extend an offer above or below the target if the skills presented in the interview process show spikes or peaks—but this is rare, and the highest likelihood is that your offer will be at target.

The target OTE for this role is $150,000, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation. Equity is also included and will be discussed during the interview process.

We do not negotiate offers because our compensation philosophy is based on equitability and intentional placement within the market.
