About The Role

We’re hiring a Smart Contract Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Hyperledger Fabric chaincode in TypeScript that powers our wallet, core blockchain, and DEX. You’ll translate business and compliance requirements into secure, auditable on-chain logic; shape the chaincode lifecycle from design through deployment; and collaborate across wallet, core chain, and trading teams to deliver resilient, high-throughput features.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Fabric chaincode (TypeScript) using fabric-contract-api with strong patterns for modularity, security, and performance.
  • Model assets, transactions, and access controls (endorsement policies, channels, private data collections, ABAC via Client Identity) aligned to product and regulatory needs.
  • Own the chaincode lifecycle (package, install, approve, commit, upgrade) and automate via CI/CD.
  • Integrate with wallet and DEX services, defining clear gRPC/REST interfaces and emitting/block events for downstream consumers.
  • Test rigorously: unit + integration tests, local test networks, simulators, and performance profiling (state DB indexes, rich queries, event flows).
  • Harden security: cryptographic best practices, MSP/PKI hygiene, key management (e.g., HSM/PKCS#11), secret handling, and threat modeling.
  • Operate and observe: contribute to deployment patterns (Docker/Kubernetes), logging/metrics/alerts, and incident playbooks.
  • Document and mentor: author design docs, runbooks, and code walkthroughs; level up peers on Fabric concepts and secure coding.
  • Use approved AI coding/analyzer tools to accelerate chaincode delivery, while maintaining human-in-the-loop review (peer review, tests, and security validation) to verify correctness and accuracy.
  • Continuously improve: track Fabric roadmap, tooling, and interop patterns to reduce latency, cost, and operational risk.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • 6+ years software engineering; 2+ years hands-on with Hyperledger Fabric (v2+) and TypeScript/Node.js.
  • Deep knowledge of Fabric primitives: chaincode lifecycle, endorsement policies, channels, private data collections, levelDB, and events.
  • Strong TypeScript/Node.js fundamentals (async patterns, testingi, tooling).
  • Solid grasp of cryptography & PKI (MSP, X.509, certificates/identities) and secure software practices.
  • Experience with containerized deployments (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD for blockchain components.
  • Clear written/verbal communication and collaborative mindset in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience building wallet or DEX features (asset issuance, custody flows, settlement, compliance controls).
  • Performance tuning for chaincode (state schema design, Postgres indexing, endorsement strategies).
  • Observability stacks (e.g., DataDog), chaos/load testing.
  • Interoperability across networks (e.g., gateways/bridges; EVM/Solidity familiarity a plus).
  • Contributions to Hyperledger projects or relevant certifications.

Work Style & Time Zones

  • Remote-first culture; collaboration overlaps with US business hours are expected.
