SEO Strategist

Position Summary

elev8.io is changing the game for Behavioral Health companies, committed to helping our clients close the gap between the millions suffering from addiction or mental health problems.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior SEO Strategist, you will be responsible for managing our highest-tier SEO clients end-to-end. From initial audits and strategy creation to implementation oversight and performance optimization, you will serve as the strategic lead, while acting as the subject matter expert for your assigned SEO accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Create tailored SEO strategies based on behavioral health industry trends, client goals, and competitive benchmarks
• Perform regular SEO audits to identify technical issues, on-page optimization gaps, and backlink opportunities
• Implement best practices to improve website health, search visibility, and overall performance
• Address SEO-related issues promptly to ensure sustained growth and compliance with search engine guidelines

Execution & Oversight

• Oversee full-funnel SEO activities including keyword research, schema markup, site architecture improvements, and internal linking strategies
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and writers to ensure proper execution of strategy
• Manage local SEO implementations across multiple locations including Google Business Profile optimizations
• Guide CMS optimizations, meta data strategy, and implementation of technical fixes

Content & Link Strategy

• Create or guide the creation of high-performing content plans that balance user intent, SEO, and conversion
• Coordinate content briefs, optimize existing pages, and support thought leadership initiatives
• Define and execute link-building strategies including outreach and partner backlinks

Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor and analyze campaign performance using GA4, Search Console, and SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
• Identify SEO opportunities and gaps based on traffic, engagement, and SERP features

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO strategy for mid-market US based clients.
• Expertise in technical SEO, content strategy, link-building, and local SEO.
• Well-versed in SEO tools such as GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and Yext
• Strong analytical mindset – ability to turn data into actionable insights
• Experience working in a digital marketing agency managing a mid-market client portfolio

Compensation and Growth Potential:

The salary will depend on qualifications and track record. This is a 1099 contractor opportunity for the ambitious and proven SEO expert who´s ready to lead impactful SEO strategies and be at the helm of one of the fastest-growing behavioral health companies in the US
