Senior/Staff Software Engineer (Remote - US)

You'll work on critical architecture, distributed systems, and cross-functional initiatives that directly influence product performance, scalability, and customer success. Accountabilities:

• Contribute to the evolution of the Nexus architecture and its milestones, improving workload execution across hybrid/on-prem/cloud environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to review and prioritize architectural improvements beyond Nexus.
• Establish and advocate for maintainable patterns using operator pattern and service-oriented architecture best practices.
• Partner with the Scale team to analyze platform performance and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
• Drive internal engineering standards across distributed systems to ensure security, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer working on complex, production-grade systems.
• Expertise in at least one programming language such as Scala, Java, Kotlin, Go, C/C++, or C#.
• Proven experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design principles.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
• A passion for innovation, a growth mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.
