A Place for Mom is building the future of senior care — and AI agents are at the center. We're looking for a Senior or Lead Product Manager to own the consumer-facing agentic experiences that help families navigate one of the most important decisions they'll ever make: finding the right care for a loved one.
This isn't a role where you'll write PRDs and toss them over the fence to engineers. You'll prototype with agentic tools, build your own agents and agentic workflows, ship experiments, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with engineering and design to bring intelligent, agent orchestrated experiences to life. If you've built something with Claude Code or OpenClaw on a weekend because you couldn't help yourself — we want to talk to you.
You're a product manager who builds. You have strong product fundamentals — you know how to define outcomes, run experiments, and ship things that create value — but you also have a deep, hands-on fluency with AI tools. You've built agents, written prompts that actually work in production, and you form opinions about model selection, tool use patterns, and evaluation frameworks. You're energized by the pace of change in AI and you stay ahead of it not by just reading newsletters, but by building things.
You combine technical depth with product instinct. You can evaluate whether an agentic approach is the right solution (not just the exciting one), design for the messy reality of LLM outputs, and make pragmatic tradeoffs between capability and reliability. You care about the user on the other end — in our case, families in a stressful, emotional moment — and you channel that empathy into products that genuinely help.
This role reports to the Director of Product and will be a critical member of our product team.
Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for consumer-facing AI experiences — conversational agents, intelligent matching, automated guidance, and more.
Prototype rapidly. Use AI coding tools and agent frameworks to validate ideas before writing specs.
Define how AI agents interact with families across channels, designing for trust, accuracy, and helpfulness in a high-stakes care decision.
Ship iteratively with engineering, using experimentation and data to learn fast and scale what works.
Identify the highest-leverage opportunities where agentic experiences can improve family outcomes and business metrics.
Design and run experiments to validate product hypotheses, with rigorous measurement of impact on conversion, engagement, and satisfaction.
Stay ahead of the rapidly evolving AI landscape — evaluate new models, capabilities, and tools and translate them into product opportunities.
Work closely with engineering, ML, and design to define technical requirements, evaluation criteria, and UX patterns for AI-powered experiences.
Collaborate with marketing, and operations teams to ensure agentic experiences integrate seamlessly into the broader family journey.
Communicate product vision, progress, and results clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
5+ years of product management experience with a track record of shipping consumer-facing products that drive measurable outcomes.
Hands-on experience building with agentic tools — you've prototyped agents, written production prompts, or built AI-powered features (not just managed teams that did).
Fluency with AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, LangChain, agent frameworks) and a habit of using them in your own workflow.
Strong experimentation mindset — experience designing A/B tests, analyzing results, and making data-informed product decisions.
Excellent product fundamentals: outcome-oriented thinking, crisp prioritization, and the ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear plans.
Strong technical communication skills — you can go deep with engineers on system design and explain AI tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
For Lead level: 7+ years of experience with demonstrated ability to mentor other PMs and drive product strategy across multiple workstreams.
AI-native from day one. This isn't an "add AI to existing product" role. You'll define how agentic experiences work at APFM from the ground up.
Real impact. Every family we help is navigating one of the hardest moments of their lives. Your work directly improves that experience.
Builder culture. We value PMs who prototype, experiment, and ship — not just PMs who make slides.
Foundational timing. You'll be shaping the agentic product strategy at a company that's evolving from a referral network into an intelligent care platform.
