​​We are seeking an experienced Website Manager to lead and optimize our website strategy. This role will focus on content management, website performance, user experience, and leading the scoping and development of new websites, landing pages, and site updates. You will manage the full lifecycle of web projects, from scoping new builds to driving the optimization of existing sites. Working closely with marketing, product, and technical teams, you’ll ensure the website effectively engages visitors, drives traffic, and maximizes lead generation efforts across multiple domains. The Website Manager will report to the Deputy Director of Marketing, Trucks, Off-Road, and Bus, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. ​ 


Duties & Responsibilities
  • ​​Lead Web Strategy: Own the vision and execution of website projects, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies, business goals, and timelines.   
  • Scoping New Websites & Pages: Lead the scoping process for new websites, landing pages, and major website changes. Define project scope, estimate costs, set realistic timelines, and ensure smooth execution across stakeholders.   
  • Content Management: Oversee content updates and ensure all pages are optimized for SEO/SEM, while collaborating with marketing teams to maintain a consistent and on-brand presence.   
  • Conversion Optimization: Design and optimize landing pages, CTAs, and lead-generation forms to maximize conversion rates.   
  • Project Manage Website Changes: Manage and prioritize the development and implementation of website updates, new landing pages, and feature improvements. Ensure timely delivery while managing scope and resources.   
  • Design Review & Collaboration: Review website designs, mockups, and prototypes to ensure they align with brand guidelines, user experience best practices, and business objectives. Collaborate closely with design teams to provide feedback and ensure a seamless integration of visual elements into the final website.   
  • Performance Tracking: Regularly track and report on website KPIs and performance metrics, recommending data-driven improvements to drive results.   
  • Website Maintenance: Ensure websites remain fast, reliable, and scalable, troubleshooting technical issues and managing ongoing updates.   
  • Compliance & Security: Ensure websites comply with legal standards such as ADA.   
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, ensuring collaboration and alignment with organizational goals and timelines. ​ 


Qualifications
  • ​​8+ years of experience managing a corporate website, with expertise in scoping and managing new website builds, landing pages, and updates.   
  • 2+ years of experience managing a web team.   
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple web projects, define scope, estimate costs, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.   
  • Proven ability to drive website optimization, using data analytics to inform decisions and enhance performance.   
  • Experience with tools such as Figma, Wordpress, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and basic front-end development (PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).   
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of successful cross-department teamwork.   
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, UI/UX design, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. ​ 


Desired Qualifications
  • ​​Experience in clean transportation technology industry or non-profits.​ 


$95,000 - $113,000 a year
CALSTART values transparency and strives to provide as much information regarding compensation as possible. The complete salary range for this role is $95,000 - $113,000 per year. Pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, internal equity and other factors relevant to the job.
