This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer, Conversational AI in the United States.

This role offers the chance to shape next-generation conversational interfaces across chatbots, voice assistants, and LLM-powered platforms. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to create user experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and enhanced by generative AI. The position emphasizes designing and optimizing conversational flows, developing prompts, and applying human-centered research methods to advocate for customer needs. You will analyze existing interactions to improve engagement, develop design guidelines, and integrate NLP, TTS/STT, and machine learning capabilities. Working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, you will influence the future of AI-driven customer experiences while leveraging the latest tools and platforms in the industry.

Accountabilities

  • Design, prototype, and optimize conversational flows, wireframes, and mockups across chat, voice, and LLM-based interfaces.
  • Create and refine prompts for generative AI systems to enhance user interactions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and business teams to deliver intuitive, AI-enhanced customer experiences.
  • Conduct user research and apply human-centered design methodologies to ensure solutions meet customer needs.
  • Analyze existing conversational paths to identify opportunities for improvement and AI-driven enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain design guidelines, best practices, and documentation for conversational and generative interfaces.
  • Partner with technical teams to integrate NLP, TTS/STT, and machine learning capabilities across platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in conversational design, including voice and chat interfaces.
  • Proven expertise in NLP and conversational UX principles for customer-facing applications.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate conversational flows and user feedback.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, LLMs, and RAG systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with generative AI platforms and their integration into customer journeys.
  • Experience designing cross-channel user experiences (chat, voice, mobile, web).
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Voiceflow, or Amazon Lex.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills to articulate design rationale.
  • Understanding of content strategy, design systems, and UX research methodologies.
