Senior UX/UI Design Lead

The ThreeV platform uses frontier AI techniques like customized Large Language Models as well as applying computer vision to drastically improve the end-to-end inspection process. This allows customers to cut Operations & Maintenance costs, streamline inspection decisions, and improve data accuracy to prevent asset failures. Global high-profile safety incidents over recent years underscore the urgent need for our platform, making it not just innovative but essential.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative UX Researcher/UI Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting user research, designing wireframes, conducting user interviews, developing user journeys on current and future state, developing blueprints with our platform team and conducting usability testing, and translating insights into user-friendly wireframes and user friendly designs. We know in larger teams having a separate UX and UI focused team member is preferred but given our startup environment you’ll have to wear both hats in the beginning and really set the design direction of the platform. You will have the opportunity to hire a visual designer that will be part of your team as well so you can focus on the User Experience Research. Your expertise will be critical in shaping the user experience and interface of our platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our users and delivers maximum business value to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Create wireframes, design prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications.
Work with the Development and Platform teams to develop a Service Blueprint
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, and gather user feedback to inform design decisions.
Create current and future state user journeys, user personas and really help drive the understanding of why users want to make specific decisions and what they’re struggling with in their day to day.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and external/internal stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across the platform.
Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing results.
Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 9 years of experience in UX/UI design, preferably in a tech or SaaS company.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
Strong portfolio showcasing UX and UI design projects.
Extensive experience conducting user research and usability testing with real world customers and end users for large companies and senior stakeholders.
Experience designing or doing research for complex Enterprise focused SaaS products where end users and business buyers might have separate needs and wants as stakeholders.
Remote work experience having worked with a team remotely or in a Hybrid environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Having worked with data scientists and machine learning engineers, and are familiar with AI and machine learning concepts.
Master’s degree in design, HCI, or a related field.
12+ years of experience in UX/UI research and design, preferably in a tech or SaaS company.
Management Consulting Company Experience (experience having worked with multiple large enterprise customers).
Power & Utility industry experience is a big plus.
Experience or good understanding with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.
Experience working in an agile development and startup environment.

Experience

A minimum of 9 years of experience in UX/UI design.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field minimum.
Master’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field is preferred.
