About the Role
SonderMind Professional Clinical Counselor, P.C (SPCC) is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality, ethical, and evidence-informed mental health care while maintaining strong clinical documentation, schedule reliability, and client engagement. This role requires clinicians committed to professional excellence, operational accountability, and maintaining consistent therapeutic relationships that support positive client outcomes.
Our therapists operate with a high degree of professional autonomy while adhering to established clinical, operational, and compliance standards. The role requires strong time management, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to maintain an active and stable caseload while meeting productivity expectations. Therapists in this role play a key part in maintaining continuity of care and ensuring that clients receive consistent, accessible, and reliable support throughout their therapeutic journey.
Therapists are supported by SonderMind’s care coordination, technology platform, and operational infrastructure, allowing them to focus on delivering consistent, high-quality care.
What You’ll Do:
Provide high-quality individual therapy to a diverse client population, using evidence-based modalities tailored to each client's needs
Conduct thorough intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and adjust care as clients progress
Maintain a consistent caseload with strong retention, booking clients 3–4 weeks in advance to support continuity of care
Complete timely, compliant documentation, including session notes, treatment plans, and insurance paperwork by end of day
Collaborate with colleagues, care coordinators, and referring providers to deliver integrated, whole-person care
Deliver services via telehealth and/or in-office, maintaining a private and professional environment in either setting
Communicate proactively with clients about scheduling, policies, and treatment expectations
Participate in team meetings, clinical trainings, and ongoing professional development
Stay current with clinical best practices, ethical standards, and licensure requirements
Contribute to a collaborative culture that prioritizes clinical excellence and sustainable clinician wellbeing
What Success Looks Like:
Consistently meeting or exceeding baseline encounters per pay period while maintaining clinical quality and sustainable workload
High-quality psychiatric evaluations and medication management that reflect evidence-based practice and measurable client progress
Same-day documentation that meets SonderMind, HIPAA, and payer compliance standards
85%+ client retention with schedules booked 3–4 weeks in advance
Strong collaboration with therapists, care coordinators, and referring providers to support integrated, whole-person care
Proactive medication monitoring and timely treatment plan adjustments that drive positive clinical outcomes
Effective use of InSync and SonderMind's clinical tools to manage caseload and streamline care delivery
Earning productivity incentives through consistent, high-quality clinical performance
Active contribution to team meetings, clinical collaboration, and ongoing professional development
Who You Are:
Active and unrestricted licensure as LMFT, LCSW, LPCC in good standing
Demonstrated experience providing individual therapy services in an outpatient or similar setting.
Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems and maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
Ability to follow established SMART note documentation protocols.
Strong time management, scheduling discipline, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
Ability to manage an independent caseload while maintaining responsiveness and reliability for clients.
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation for this role includes a guaranteed base salary starting at $75,000 up to $140,000 per year, plus productivity-based incentives, designed to provide both stability and earning upside.
This role falls under SonderMind's Clinical Productivity Bonus Plan, designed to reward productivity while supporting sustainable workloads and consistent client access.
Guaranteed base salary with a defined baseline of completed encounters per pay period
Additional per-session compensation earned after meeting baseline
Administrative work (documentation, care coordination, collaboration) is included in base salary
