Job Summary: Westwin Elements is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at the Nickel Refinery Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structural components for our refinery projects and providing feedback to EPC partners to ensure plant standards are maintained. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Analysis: Develop and review structural designs for refinery facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Project Management: Lead structural engineering projects from concept to completion, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Construction Oversight: Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve structural issues that arise during design and construction phases.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for structural components.
- Compliance: Ensure all structural designs meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering and incorporate innovative solutions into projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field. PE and SE are a plus, but are not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the refinery or heavy industrial sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, STAAD Pro, SAP2000) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, Governing codes, and construction methods.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and project teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
