This role offers the opportunity to shape and advance enterprise-wide environmental compliance strategies within a highly complex industrial environment. You will play a key role in developing forward-looking environmental solutions across air, water, waste, and chemical management systems while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and long-term sustainability goals. Accountabilities:- Lead enterprise-level environmental compliance strategy across air, water, waste, and chemical management programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business objectives
- Support and enhance global environmental management systems through development of policies, standards, and compliance validation processes
- Oversee environmental permitting activities, including application development, regulatory review, and negotiation with authorities
- Drive performance tracking and reporting for environmental compliance initiatives across multiple sites and operations
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure effective implementation of environmental programs and continuous improvement
- Provide technical leadership in interpreting and applying environmental regulations across manufacturing systems and operations
- Contribute to innovation initiatives by developing solutions to complex environmental challenges and advancing sustainability goals
- Mentor and support environmental teams and stakeholders to strengthen capability and compliance performance
- Participate in the development and review of regulatory frameworks and provide technical input on proposed environmental rules
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in environmental roles within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems including air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, chemical usage, and waste management
- Experience with environmental permitting processes and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proven ability to lead or support projects, small teams, or external service providers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex regulatory frameworks
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently while coordinating across large, matrixed organizations
- Willingness to travel regularly to support operational sites and program implementation
