This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer - Control Plane in the United States.

This role offers a unique opportunity to design and build the core components of large-scale, multi-cloud and hybrid data platforms. The Senior Staff Engineer will lead architecture and development for control and data plane systems, focusing on security, scalability, and performance. You will work on distributed systems challenges, mentor engineers, and drive technical innovation across complex cloud environments. Collaboration with product managers and engineering teams ensures delivery of robust, resilient, and high-quality solutions. This position provides exposure to cutting-edge cloud technologies, containerization, and enterprise-scale infrastructure. The role is highly technical and strategic, allowing for deep impact on the future of enterprise data management and analytics.

Accountabilities

·         Lead the design and architecture of large-scale cloud services for multi-cloud and hybrid data platforms.

·         Develop and implement core software components, including data governance, security, and distributed systems solutions.

·         Drive technical innovation through prototyping, evaluating new technologies, and implementing cloud-native solutions.

·         Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

·         Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-quality software.

·         Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including production operations, monitoring, alerting, and on-call rotations.

·         Diagnose and resolve complex issues in distributed cloud environments, ensuring reliability and performance.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 7+ years of relevant experience.

·         Proven experience in large-scale distributed system projects.

·         Strong expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) including infrastructure provisioning, security, containerization, and service enablement.

·         Advanced programming skills in Java; experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript is a plus.

·         Solid understanding of Linux environments, networking, virtual machines, container technologies (e.g., Docker), and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

·         Experience with full software development lifecycle and production support.

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills across geographically distributed teams.

·         Demonstrated ability to independently define, lead, and drive complex projects.
