This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer in the United States.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing innovative, high-impact software solutions for complex federal projects. You will design, prototype, and implement technologies that improve operational efficiency and enhance customer experiences. Working within cross-functional teams, you will collaborate closely on both front-end and back-end systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality software delivery. This role provides the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical strategy, and work in a fast-paced environment where innovation and continuous learning are highly valued.
Accountabilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain software applications and specialized utility programs.
· Analyze user needs and create solutions that optimize operational efficiency.
· Customize and implement software to meet client requirements.
· Develop and manage databases as part of project solutions, individually or in collaboration with team members.
· Mentor and provide guidance to junior software developers.
· Evaluate new or emerging technologies, develop prototypes, and provide insights on benefits and risks.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-focused software systems.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 5–8+ years of professional software development experience.
· Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, or related technologies.
· Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g., JavaScript) and back-end languages (e.g., Java, Python) with familiarity in frameworks such as React.
· Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), web servers (e.g., nginx), and UI/UX principles.
· Ability to quickly adapt to new projects, tools, and technologies.
· Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
· US Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.
Nice to Have:
· People management or mentorship experience.
· Background in Python or DevOps practices.
· Experience with CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
