As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming the delivery of medical equipment and supplies through a leading digital platform. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications while collaborating closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams. Your work will directly impact millions of patients by ensuring that life-saving products reach them efficiently. You will make critical technical decisions, contribute to the evolution of the application and data models, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability. · Develop and maintain web applications in an agile environment using TDD and pair programming.
· Collaborate with product and design teams to shape features and user experiences.
· Make key technical decisions related to application architecture, data models, and system design.
· Ensure stable, performant, and scalable application stacks.
· Deliver high-quality code that supports business goals and operational needs.
· Participate in an on-call rotation, addressing critical system issues and improving system reliability and availability.
· Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
· Professional experience with Ruby on Rails in a production environment.
· Minimum of 3 years of web-based production engineering experience.
· Reside in the United States and be legally authorized to work.
· Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and data structures.
· Experience with agile development practices, including TDD and pair programming.
· Nice to have: proficiency in JavaScript, Python, SQL; familiarity with AWS services; exposure to healthcare technologies; front-end framework experience (React, Angular, Ember); experience as a technical lead or working closely with UX/UI and product management.
