Accountabilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of desktop and conversational AI applications.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions that meet customer needs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a small team of engineers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality code, ensuring best practices in software engineering.
• Solve complex technical and customer-facing problems, balancing trade-offs while acting decisively.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and optimization.
• Advocate for diversity, inclusion, and belonging within the team and contribute to a psychologically safe work culture.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior software engineer with leadership responsibilities, ideally in small, agile teams.
• Proficiency in Java and familiarity with desktop application frameworks such as Electron, SwiftUI, or AppKit.
• Experience with CRM platforms, integrations, and collaborative or conversational user experiences.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make pragmatic, data-informed decisions.
• Passion for writing and reading code, with a hands-on approach to technical leadership.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience mentoring and coaching engineers.
• Ability to thrive in a low-bureaucracy, dynamic environment and take ownership of projects end-to-end.
