As a Senior Software Engineer in Data Infrastructure, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling the organization’s data platforms to support analytics, machine learning, and business decision-making. You will design and operate large-scale data systems, optimize ETL pipelines, and ensure data integrity, discoverability, and governance across multiple environments. The role requires close collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that drive actionable insights. You will influence the roadmap for data infrastructure, implement best practices for data storage and modeling, and contribute to the long-term strategy for cloud-native big data platforms. Accountabilities:
• Design, build, and operate scalable data infrastructure systems for analytics, reporting, and machine learning.
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
• Build data platform-as-a-service solutions for internal stakeholders, enhancing discoverability and usability.
• Establish data governance standards, managing contributions from multiple teams to maintain a high-quality data warehouse.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform data infrastructure strategy and roadmap.
• Optimize batch and streaming data workflows to improve latency and performance.
• Advocate for and implement new technologies or open-source frameworks to empower data and product teams.
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in data infrastructure, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles.
• Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL), dbt, and Airflow.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native big data infrastructure (e.g., BigQuery, Vertex AI on GCP).
• Proven ability to design effective data models for analytics and machine learning use cases.
• Experience managing and maintaining data warehouses with multiple contributors.
• Familiarity with feature stores, metadata management, and scheduling workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize autonomously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: experience in fintech, startups, self-employment financial tools, or ML feature store systems.
