Job Description:
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems and applicationsÂ
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specificationsÂ
Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, including mentoring, code reviews, and knowledge sharingÂ
Drive innovation and propose new solutions to improve processes, technologies, and product offeringsÂ
Architect scalable and maintainable software solutions that meet performance, reliability, and security requirementsÂ
Lead efforts to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, and implement effective solutions to ensure system stability and performanceÂ
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and evaluate their potential impact on our products and processesÂ
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences, to convey technical concepts and decisionsÂ

RequirementsÂ
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) or equivalent experienceÂ
7+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutionsÂ
Extensive experience in one or more programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, AssemblerÂ
Extensive experience in IBM mainframe development, including CICS, VSAM, and JCLÂ
Extensive experience in Life & Annuity Policy Administration, including the Cyberlife ApplicationÂ
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical problems and propose and implement effective solutionsÂ
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levelsÂ

PreferredÂ
Understanding of VPMS, SCLM, Repetitive Payment System (RPS)Â
Demonstrated use of Artificial Intelligence to accelerate workÂ
Experience with distributed technologies such as AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript, database systems and SQLÂ
Experience implementing other Life & Annuity policy administration systemsÂ
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or ScrumÂ
Previous experience in leading or mentoring junior engineersÂ
Base Salary Range - $130,000 - $150,000
