<h2><strong>About Wizard</strong></h2><p>Wizard is the top-performing AI Shopping Agent, delivering the best products from across the web with unmatched accuracy, quality, and trust.</p><h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3><p>We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join Wizard’s Customer & Applications pod, focused on building the user-facing products that power our agentic commerce experience.</p><p>In this role, you'll work across the stack to design and deliver intuitive, high-impact product experiences for merchants and end users. You'll help shape a conversational commerce experience built around an intelligent shopping agent and own critical customer-facing systems like authentication, marketing integrations, and A/B experimentation. You'll partner closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to bring new features to life, from ideation to production. Our team contributes to every step of the user journey and paves the way for the next generation of e-commerce.</p><p>You’ll primarily work in Node.js / TypeScript and React, owning everything from backend services to polished frontend interfaces. This is a highly product-oriented role where engineering, user experience, and speed of iteration all matter.</p><h3><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h3><ul><li>Build and ship user-facing features and applications that drive core product experiences for merchants and customers</li><li>Own features end-to-end across frontend (React) and backend (Node.js / TypeScript)</li><li>Collaborate closely with product, design, and AI/ML teams to translate ambiguous ideas into high-quality user experiences</li><li>Design and implement scalable APIs and services that support product functionality</li><li>Contribute to frontend architecture and component systems to enable fast, consistent development</li><li>Drive experimentation and iteration, including A/B testing and rapid prototyping</li><li>Participate in technical design discussions, making thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, quality, and scalability</li><li>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code</li><li>Improve application performance, usability, and reliability across the product surface</li><li>Contribute to team best practices through code reviews, documentation, and technical discussions</li></ul><h3><strong>What Success Looks Like</strong></h3><ul><li>You own product features end-to-end, delivering experiences that are performant, intuitive, and impactful</li><li>You move quickly while maintaining high standards for quality, usability, and maintainability</li><li>You collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and help shape product direction through technical insight</li><li>The features you build drive measurable improvements in user engagement, conversion, or customer satisfaction</li><li>You elevate the team through strong engineering practices, thoughtful feedback, and clear communication</li></ul><h3><strong>Ideal Background</strong></h3><ul><li>4–6+ years of professional software engineering experience</li><li>Strong experience building full-stack applications using Node.js / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React preferred)</li><li>Experience building user-facing products with a focus on performance and usability</li><li>Familiarity with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs</li><li>Experience working with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases</li><li>Solid understanding of web application architecture and system design</li><li>Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams</li><li>Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving requirements</li><li>Experience integrating with third-party APIs is a plus</li><li>Exposure to ecommerce or marketplace products (e.g., Shopify) is a plus</li></ul><h3><strong>Compensation & Benefits</strong></h3><p>The expected base salary range for this role is $180,000-$200,000 USD, and will vary based on skills, experience, role level, and geographic location.
