Our mission is to empower a company of builders by delivering a frictionless, standardized ecosystem of core engineering tools. We partner directly with teams across the company to standardize workflows and create a tight feedback loop with product leadership to influence own own product direction.</p><h3>What You’ll Do</h3><ul><li>Build and maintain internal engineering tooling that improves builder flow and reduces friction across the company.</li><li>Provide guidance, best practices, and automation to support adoption of AI agentic coding tools.</li><li>Develop and operate internally facing agents.</li><li>Implement and improve developer workflows, including guardrails, evaluation approaches, and guidance that enables safe adoption of new tooling.</li><li>Own development and operation of our internal agent platform.</li><li>Partner with teams across Engineering, Product, Sales, and G&A to understand where AI could accelerate their work or improve the quality of outcomes.</li><li>Build measurement and feedback loops (usage, reliability, cost, and cycle time) to quantify impact and guide iteration.</li><li>Own documentation and enablement materials that help builders succeed using the paved roads.</li><li>Participate in on-call to support internal users.</li></ul><h3>What You’ll Bring</h3><ul><li>Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping and operating production-quality internal platforms or developer tooling.</li><li>Experience leveraging modern agentic coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code.</li><li>Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used at Temporal, such as Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java.</li><li>Experience building workflow automation or internal tools (CLI tools, services, GitHub automation, cloud automation, or similar).</li><li>Strong judgment about when to standardize versus when to enable flexibility, and how to remove friction without compromising reliability.</li><li>Comfort working cross-functionally, including partnering with non-traditional developers and translating needs into usable solutions.</li><li>Ability to use data and qualitative feedback together to prioritize and measure impact.</li><li>Clear written communication, including documentation that enables self-service.</li></ul><h3>Nice to Haves</h3><ul><li>Experience building internal agents and operating an agent platform</li><li>Familiarity with developer productivity measurement frameworks such as SPACE and DORA metrics.</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><ul><li>Base Salary Range - $176,000 - $237,600, depending on qualifications and location</li><li>Equity Options - Eligible for stock options as part of Temporal’s equity plan</li></ul><div class="content-conclusion"><div><em>Compensation ranges reflect salary and commission compensation (when applicable) across several geographic markets.
