Senior Software Engineer

This role focuses on building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers large-scale messaging experiences for a global user base. You will design and implement reliable, high-performance systems that support AI-driven features and enable product teams to innovate conversational experiences rapidly. The position involves collaborating across multiple engineering and cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, and shaping the platform roadmap. You will guide the team on architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and contribute to delivering scalable solutions that enhance user engagement. This is a hands-on engineering role with significant impact on system reliability, product innovation, and overall user experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Lead design, development, and operation of scalable messaging infrastructure
• Deliver AI-powered messaging features that improve user experience and reduce manual effort
• Mentor and guide engineers, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on technical strategy and long-term solutions
• Drive multiple technical projects, addressing complex, open-ended problems without predefined solutions
• Review code and technical designs, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability
• Stay informed on emerging engineering trends and best practices to continuously improve the platform

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong architectural skills and experience with high-scale, distributed systems
• Proven track record of shipping large-scale projects involving multiple teams and dependencies
• Technical leadership and strong communication skills to influence and guide other experienced engineers
• Experience building robust, reliable, and scalable backend systems
• Familiarity with AI-driven platforms, messaging systems, or real-time communication technologies is highly desirable
