Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer at Intus, you will play a pivotal role in architecting, developing, and scaling our next-generation Electronic Medical Record (EMR) platform for PACE. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, UX, and Engineering teams in a modern, agile environment, driving technical excellence and delivering impactful healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect & Build- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs and intuitive front-end interfaces using ReactJS, TypeScript, NextJS, NodeJS and MongoDB

• Technical Leadership- Set best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and system design. Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews

• Collaboration- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Performance & Reliability- Optimize system performance, ensure high availability, and implement observability and monitoring practices

• Innovation- Identify and champion new technologies and approaches to improve our product and engineering processes leveraging AI

• Agile Development- Actively contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Documentation- Author clear technical documentation, API specs, and architectural diagrams to support team knowledge sharing

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in ReactJS, TypeScript, NextJS, NodeJS, and MongoDB

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on building scalable and efficient solutions

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Product and Engineering teams

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of features and projects from ideation to delivery

  • Deep understanding of automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and software observability

  • Experience in ensuring system reliability and performance optimization through modern development practices

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7), security and compliance (HIPAA), and building EMR/EHR systems

  • Recent experience with our Tech Stack

  • Familiarity with the Azure platform and modern DevOps practices

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $140K–$175K. We expect the ideal candidate to fall near the midpoint of this range, though final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and organizational needs.

Work location: This is a fully remote role based in the United States.
