• Accountabilities:
• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring security and high performance.
• Participate in full-stack development, focusing on middle-tier and service-oriented solutions.
• Collaborate with internal clients, product owners, and business analysts to refine requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
• Lead technical design and architecture discussions, contributing to long-term application strategy.
• Maintain software builds, perform releases, and ensure deployment processes are efficient and secure.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on coding standards, best practices, and problem-solving approaches.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across applications, ensuring minimal impact to users.
• Document progress, challenges, and project outcomes, maintaining transparency with team and stakeholders.
• Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development (7–10 years preferred for Senior Software Engineer level).
• Strong proficiency in Java and experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience with front-end technologies (Angular, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON) and web services (SOAP/REST).
• Familiarity with security protocols, software release processes, and performance optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience working with remote teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Leadership experience, software architecture knowledge, and mentoring ability preferred.
• Life insurance industry knowledge is a plus, as is familiarity with industry-recognized certifications.
