This role offers the opportunity to contribute to advanced research in infectious diseases within a dynamic academic and laboratory environment. You will independently conduct complex experiments, develop specialized research procedures, and analyze results to generate actionable insights. Accountabilities:
  • Independently perform complex and technical laboratory tests and research procedures.
  • Develop and refine specialized research methodologies using advanced techniques and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, providing insights and recommendations for alternative approaches.
  • Train and mentor research staff on unique laboratory techniques and theoretical concepts.
  • Contribute to protocol development, departmental goals, and research funding applications.
  • Prepare charts, graphs, and written materials for publications, presentations, and reporting purposes.
  • Oversee quality assurance, hazardous material handling, and adherence to laboratory safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field with at least four years of research experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven ability to design and execute complex research experiments independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience mentoring and training junior staff on specialized laboratory procedures.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous substances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and publications.
  • In-person work at a laboratory facility is required; remote work is not an option.
