This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager, Payroll in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape a mission-critical payroll product that powers the financial backbone of a rapidly growing agricultural workforce platform. You will lead strategy and execution for payroll capabilities that ensure accurate pay calculations, compliance, deductions, and reporting across complex, real-world farming operations. Working at the intersection of product, engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams, you will help translate highly complex payroll and regulatory requirements into scalable software solutions. The environment is fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly collaborative, with direct exposure to customers and operational realities. Your work will directly improve the livelihoods of agricultural workers while increasing efficiency and trust for employers. This is a high-impact role where product decisions meaningfully shape both business outcomes and end-user experience.

Accountabilities:
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for key payroll capabilities, ensuring alignment with company-level business objectives such as growth, adoption, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead end-to-end product development efforts from discovery to launch, translating complex payroll workflows and ambiguous needs into clear, executable solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, payroll operations, implementations, support, and revenue teams to build scalable and compliant payroll systems.
  • Conduct in-depth customer research and leverage quantitative and qualitative insights to identify pain points, edge cases, and opportunities for product improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement of payroll accuracy, compliance, reporting, and operational workflows through iterative product delivery.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders and ensure cohesive execution across multiple dependencies and priorities.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3+ years focused on payroll products or closely related payroll/HR/workforce systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll workflows, including calculations, deductions, compliance requirements, and operational processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, ambiguous problem spaces and convert them into structured product plans and deliverables.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments and building strong relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong customer empathy with the ability to quickly build trust and credibility through direct user engagement.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business outcomes and driving product impact.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven mindset, combined with strong communication and prioritization skills.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package ($180,000–$225,000 base salary) plus meaningful equity
  • Comprehensive medical and dental insurance coverage
  • Flexible work schedule and unlimited vacation policy
  • Budget and support for personal and professional development
  • Company-wide paid winter break during the last week of the year
  • Regular company-sponsored team events and collaborative culture
  • Opportunity to work with a talented, mission-driven, and collaborative team
  • Strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and building impactful solutions for underserved industries.
