This role sits at the intersection of science, innovation, and commercial strategy within the life sciences and biotechnology space. You will lead the evolution of a critical Core Protein product portfolio that supports the development of advanced genomic and therapeutic solutions. Working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, you will translate deep customer and market insights into impactful product strategies that drive both innovation and business growth. The position combines strategic portfolio ownership with hands-on lifecycle management, from ideation through commercialization and end-of-life planning. You will partner closely with R&D, commercial, and operations teams to align priorities and accelerate delivery of high-value solutions. Accountabilities:- Define and execute multi-year product portfolio strategies, balancing innovation investments, lifecycle priorities, and portfolio optimization across Core Protein offerings
- Lead market and customer insight generation through qualitative and quantitative research, identifying unmet needs and translating them into product opportunities
- Manage full product lifecycle activities, including development, launch execution, commercialization, growth, and end-of-life planning using structured stage-gate processes
- Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Operations, Quality, and Commercial to align on priorities, resources, and delivery timelines
- Drive pricing strategy, forecasting, and revenue performance in collaboration with commercial teams while ensuring strong margin optimization
- Serve as product expert in key customer engagements, handling escalations and incorporating client feedback into product roadmap decisions
- Develop sales enablement materials and ensure consistent value messaging across internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or related field (e.g., biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, or similar)
- 7+ years of experience in client-facing roles, including at least 3+ years in product management within life sciences, healthcare, or regulated industries
- Strong experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments with exposure to regulated product development
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to assess risks, define tradeoffs, and implement scalable solutions
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and stage-gate development processes
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across technical and commercial teams
- MBA or advanced scientific degree is a strong plus, along with experience in cell and gene therapy or related advanced therapies
