This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist in the United States.
This role sits at the center of a high-impact procurement function supporting large-scale capital expenditure (CAPEX) programs within the power and infrastructure sector. You will be responsible for translating sourcing strategy into execution, ensuring that procurement activities deliver cost efficiency, supplier performance, and project alignment. The position involves managing complex sourcing events, supplier negotiations, and contract execution across high-value portfolios. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure procurement decisions support broader operational and project goals. Accountabilities:- Lead end-to-end procurement execution, including RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, supplier negotiations, and contract award processes.
- Manage procurement schedules and ensure alignment with project timelines, milestones, and delivery requirements.
- Maintain procurement tracking tools, dashboards, and reporting systems to ensure visibility into supplier status and award progress.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, risk, and delivery performance objectives.
- Conduct market and supplier analysis to identify pricing benchmarks and cost optimization opportunities.
- Build and maintain complex procurement and pricing models, ensuring accurate bid comparisons and financial evaluations.
- Support supplier management, issue resolution, and cross-functional alignment on specifications and scope.
- Assist in contract review, procurement risk identification, and compliance with commercial agreements and purchase orders.
- Drive continuous improvement of procurement processes, tools, templates, and evaluation frameworks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or consulting with a strong procurement focus.
- Experience supporting large-scale CAPEX procurement programs, ideally in infrastructure, energy, or power sectors.
- Background in EPC, construction, or capital project environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate effectively.
- Proven ability to independently manage procurement cycles from initiation through contract award.
- Advanced Excel skills, including building and maintaining complex financial and procurement models.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple parallel workstreams in fast-paced environments.
