Raytheon is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our Digital Technology Analytics & Automation Applied Artificial Intelligence team.
What You Will Do
As a Senior Principal Data Scientist, you will work across functional areas to support the application of data science and software engineering methods and techniques for production-scale internal use and external research. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Raytheon, RTX, and the Applied Artificial Intelligence team to develop analytic products for agile delivery, spanning manufacturing, engineering, business development, and supply chain functions. This role allows you to influence organizational standards by researching and deploying technical solutions for customers as part of a broader ecosystem of machine learning and advanced analytics professionals.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Experience with Python development (numpy, scipy, scikit-image, and scikit-learn) for integration into statistical and/or machine learning applications (beyond academic examples).
Experience with relational databases management and SQL development.

Qualifications We Prefer
Experience meeting with business stakeholders to identify and develop requirements for strategic use cases and research opportunities.
Experience applying quantitative techniques (normalization, standardization, applied statistics) to cleanse and explore large, complex data sets in preparation for further analysis.
Experience in creating repeatable, reusable processes and scalable data products with the advanced analytics team using Scaled Agile Framework methodology.
Proficiency with at least one deep learning framework such as PyTorch, TensorFlow.
Experience building data visualizations with applications such as Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI, etc.
Experience with commercial software development processes: good software hygiene regarding code documentation, unit testing, bug tracking, version control, MLOps concepts, processes, and technologies.
Familiarity deploying machine learning models in public cloud services such as AWS, or Azure.
Experience with Complex Neural Net architectures and high performance compute management tools (i.e. Slurm, HTCondor).
Track record of GPU programming, network optimization and deployment for data science applications
